    Question

Hey there, my dad and i were wondering whether a lights colour temperature will change as it is dimmed, if so, how could this be avoided?

    Thanks.

    Yes--It will.

Get a book on lighting and it will teach you all sorts of ways to avoid/change color shift.

    Good Luck

If U want to diffuse light, U can use specially designed filters, known as ND (neutral Density) filters. they basically make the light softer without changing the colour temp.

These are available from any professional lighting supplier.

Check out the local yellow pages for suppliers.

NDs don't soften the light they lower its intensity. Diffusion softens it.

    Good Luck
